Purpose

WE, the American Indian students at the University of Utah, in order to promote greater unity and understanding among ourselves, and to strengthen our cultural roots, do hereby organize ourselves as the Inter-Tribal Student Association (ITSA) to:
  • Orient American Indian students to matriculation at the University of Utah and life in the surrounding Salt Lake City community;
  • Advocate the needs and concerns of the American Indians in the larger university structure and in the Salt Lake City community; and,
  • Promote student involvement in American Indian culture awareness and promoting positive social activities to enhance greater student involvement and interest in the organization.
