Program for students in STEM-field majors to participate in a summer graduate preparation institute for underrepresented students interested in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Graduate Pathways is a conference open to current junior-/senior-level undergraduates, recent college graduates, and master’s students preparing for graduate studies. The conference is a 3-day on-campus event with a focus on providing students with the tools and resources to strengthen graduate school applications. The conference will be held July 14-16, 2011 and is a residential program (optional) held at Arizona State University, Tempe campus. http://aisss.asu.edu/gradpath Local Utah cultural groups from diverse backgrounds will provide a wonderful night to enjoy the music and dance from their heritage (shows start at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.) while children enjoy crafts and activities associated with the many cultures. Join us as we explore the world of diversity in our own community! Bring a picnic and a blanket and spend the evening in the Garden with your family. All performances will be held in Amphitheater, enter through the Visitor Center. Tram service is available. Monday Family Night Rate $34 (Includes 2 adults and up to 4 children). Members Free.
